Counselling sessions are charged at £40 per 50 minute session for individuals, £30 for Counselling Students in training and £50 per 1 hour session for couples. Fees are payable on, or before, the day of the session by cash, debit/credit card or NFC payment.
If you are unable to attend then please give 24 hours cancellation notice, without which the full session fee will be charged. Unless you have cancelled a session by leaving a message on my mobile number then I will wait for a maximum of 20 minutes of your allocated appointment time.
All personal information disclosed during a session will be confidential, however, there are some exceptions: Counsellors are required to have regular and on-going supervision, in line with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) code of ethics. Supervision is essential for reviewing and monitoring a therapist's work as well as an opportunity to gain new perspectives on the counselling process. If there is cause for concern for your safety, or the safety of a significant other close to you, consultation may be sought with another professional, such as your GP, but in this unusual situation the matter will be discussed with you and a mutually agreeable way forward will be sought.
Chesterfield Counselling is registered and enumerated with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The proprietor, Sharon Roe, holds an enhanced certificate with the DBS updates service which can be accessed by any member of the public where there is sufficient and appropriate reasoning.
